Last Sunday was Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day, a fun annual photo event that gets people out and about with their homemade and purchased pinhole cameras to shoot the most lo-fi of images! I love it, because it gives me an excuse to go out and take photos using my Daylab Polaroid Pinhole camera, a fun little plastic camera that I always enjoy using. After some years of use, though, I'm having a slight problem with it; the screw mount that attaches it to the tripod has fallen out! I need to get this fixed, because on super-windy days (such as this past Sunday), not being adequately attached to my tripod causes some shake issues with pinhole photography!
In any case, I went out with my Daylab and my Diana+ in pinhole mode (still need to develop those images), and shot some fun pinholes. Here are some of my favorites that I've scanned so far...

I always try to keep at least one camera on me at all times, because invariably, if I don't have one, I'll find a photo opportunity! Still, there have been a few times in the recent past when I've stumbled upon something wonderful and only had my phone camera! Fortunately, the camera in my G1 Android phone is pretty nice for moments like this. Here are three of my favorite PhoneCam images.
This one begged me--a lover of all cool signs!--to take its photo! I was impressed with the sharp quality and vibrant neon colors of this little Googlephone Photo.

I love my Holgaroid camera, a frankenstein creation fitting a Holga FN with a type 80 Polaroid back. What's more, I've hoarded a good amount of the square Polaroid films, so I can keep shooting with it for awhile, although it will never be long enough. Over the next few days, I'll post some of my favorite photos that I've taken with this delicious picture-making device. I'll start with these, some of my lesser known Holgaroid photographs.

This past week was very, very busy, and by the time I wrapped up everything at work on Friday afternoon, I was ready to veg. The theme for this weekend seems to have been: "Lay around on the couch and accomplish as little as possible." I really needed that, even if I do feel slightly bad about it. Note to self: stop feeling guilty about having a day off!
Laying around reminds me of this photo, one of my favorite photos that I've ever taken of my precious whippet, Laika.

I took this photo of Laika at one of those typical moments when she had planted herself on the bed while I had the sheets in the washer. We had just moved into our house here in Texas, from Florida, a few weeks beforehand, and she still had pine tar stains on her face and feet from our yard in Orlando. (That stuff is impossible to get off!) Anyway, the bed is one of Laika's favorite places, and I often get nice shots of her there. However, for this shot, I think the lighting and Time-Zero film worked a little extra magic; coupled with that classic hound expression and the super-comfy duvet, this might just be the most Laika of all Laika shots. ;)
