Floridian Landscapes

Florida is full of water and reptiles. Here are two diptychs of Floridian Landscapes from a recent trip back to the place where I lived between 2001 and 2006. I hope you enjoy them.

What Central Florida Looks Like to Me
This is the St. John's River, which, like the Nile, flows north. Sitting upon the river is this classic "cracker" fishcamp, which serves some good fried gator and cold beer on hot days.

A Floridian Swamp
Want to know what rotting plant matter smells like? Look no further than Florida!

Both diptychs were taken using a Polaroid SX-70 camera and expired Polaroid Artistic TZ film.

As soon as I saw the second diptych it reminded me of Edward Steichen's The Pond - Moonrise photograph. Love your work.
