I keep shooting and shooting, but I haven't had a lot of time to scan photos lately. However, I do hope you'll enjoy these still life photos I've taken with the beautiful, new Impossible Project PX70 Colorshade film for Sx-70 cameras.

A Basil Bouquet
I have a massive (as in, over a yard tall!) basil plant on my walkway. I took some cuttings and made this impromptu bouquet. After a couple of weeks, I noticed that it was not only still ultra-fresh, but it has grown roots, so I gave it to a friend to start her own plant.
Delicate
I love the delicate pink color that appeared on this photo. It lends a new life to this familiar orchid, I think!
I'm so grateful to the Impossible Project for all that they are doing to make it possible for us all to shoot beautiful instant photos! It's an exciting adventure to be shooting these first-generation films, and I am doubly-excited to share them with you!

Channels
This is one of my shots from my experience as a tester of the new Impossible Project integral film (called Type 40 in the test), using my SX-70 camera. I love this flower and the way each petal has discreet channels for water and nectar to flow in and out.
Fade-to-Black Orchids

This one was taken using my Sx-70 and Fade to Black film, then scanned about 2 minutes into the development process.
Only one more day of 'Roid Week for Spring 2010! I need to figure out what my last two shots will be...
I love orchids, and I am very excited that the one orchid I have right now is preparing to bloom again. When I lived in Santa Barbara, I had several orchids, but they would never re-bloom. I followed all the advice about food and temperature, etc, but they would never send out new shoots. When I moved to Florida, however, I got a new orchid that I completely ignored--I just left it on the patio, never fed it, only occasionally watered it. The humid and warm conditions of that place, however, had that orchid blooming like clockwork every October. When I moved away from Orlando, I gave that orchid to my friend Fon, and I'm sure her green thumb has that orchid blooming still.
When we moved to Texas, I found that our master bathroom has a perfect window for all kinds of plants, and so I invested in a new orchid and sat it on the bathtub near that magical spot. It bloomed three times last year, and now it's about to bloom again. Like my Florida orchid before, I pretty much ignore this plant. I never feed it and only occasionally water it. In honor of my excitement over this plant and its impending blossoms, here is my favorite Polaroid from last year's orchid blooms.
